It’s a sight to behold, but even more exhilarating to experience behind the wheel.
Stunning Looks Backed By Expert Wing Design And Analysis
An optimized airfoil was designed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
When equipping the M4 with our signature wing, we drew on the usual tools in our toolbox: a 3D scanner and computational fluid dynamics software. We must admit that the CFD data and real-life testing matched up well, validating our approach and providing you with a wing that simply performs.
Designed for efficiency, the V1X wing offers these features:
- An optimized airfoil designed using the ANSYS Adjoint Solver, a leading CFD tool. The wing was refined through wind tunnel testing and subsequently validated on the track.
- Swan neck mounts, which create more bottom surface area, offer cleaner air and boost the wing’s ability to generate efficient downforce.
- Endplate slots decrease vortex energy coming off the endplate, thus reducing pressure drag.
Our V1X wing is larger than our UCW wing and capable of generating much more downforce. In fact, the V1X at a 2-degree angle of attack produced more downforce than our UCW at 12 degrees.
Optimize Your Setup By Changing The Angle Of Attack
Verus Engineering's V1X BMW M4 wing features an adjustable angle of attack, ranging from 0 to 15 degrees.
Besides the incredible downforce boost and stunning appearance, one of the great aspects of our BMW M4 V1X wing is its adjustability. You can set the angle of attack (AOA) anywhere from 0 to 15 degrees. This is ideal for matching the wing to your front-end aerodynamics and driving style. In many cases, you’ll also adjust based on the track you’re on. Whatever the reason, you need the option to change the angle, and Verus provides it.
