Verus Engineering Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 10/28/2026

This page explains what personal information Verus Engineering collects through www.verus-engineering.com, what we do with it, and who we share it with. Verus Engineering designs and makes automotive aero parts in Indianapolis, Indiana. If you have a question about this page, email [email protected].

What we collect

When you order or make an account

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your shipping and billing address.
  • What you ordered, what you paid and how it shipped.
  • If you buy as a dealer, your company's name and addresses, the people who order for it, and the names and addresses you ship to for your customers.

We never see or keep your full card number. Our payment companies handle it.

When you contact us

What you write to us by email or in the website chat, with the name and email address you give.

When you visit the site

The pages you view, when you viewed them, your IP address, and the browser and device you use. Our store software keeps a record of visits, and so do the tools listed under "Cookies and measurement."

Cookies and measurement

A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. This site uses:

  • Cookies that make the store work. They keep you signed in, hold your cart and remember your language. The store does not work properly without them.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies. They count visits and tell us which ads led to an order.
  • Crazy Egg. It records how visitors click and scroll on our pages so we can improve them.
  • Meta and Reddit. Their tags set a cookie and tell Meta and Reddit about your visit, which can include the pages you view and what you add to your cart or buy. We do not run ads with Meta or Reddit at this time.

We do not show a cookie banner. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. If you block the store's own cookies, the cart and sign-in stop working. You can also turn off Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google, Meta and Reddit can use their cookies to recognize your browser on other websites too, and their own privacy policies cover what they do with that.

Why we use it

  • To take your order, ship it, and handle returns, warranty claims and refunds.
  • To answer your questions and send order and shipping emails. We call or email you only about an order or a question you sent us. We do not send text messages.
  • To run your account, if you have one.
  • To email you about sales and new parts. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link. These emails tell us whether they were opened and which links were clicked.
  • To see how the site is used and to measure our advertising.
  • To keep the records our accountants and the law require, and to stop fraud.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business:

  • Shipping carriers, such as FedEx and DHL, get your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your order. For shipments outside the US they also get what is in the box and its value, for customs.
  • Our payment companies, Stripe, PayPal and Authorize.net, handle your payment. If you choose Affirm, Afterpay or Klarna at checkout, that company gets your details to approve your payment plan, and its own privacy policy applies.
  • Odoo hosts our store and order system. Zoho hosts our email. Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks. Google reCAPTCHA checks that forms are filled out by a person. Stape hosts the measurement server described below.
  • With Google, to request a review: after you place an order, we share your email address, order number, country and estimated delivery date with Google so it can invite you to rate your purchase through Google Customer Reviews. Google asks for your consent before sending that invitation, and its use of the data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • With Google, for analytics and advertising measurement: when you browse or buy on the website, we send details of the pages you view and the orders you place to Google Analytics and Google Ads through a measurement server that Stape hosts for us. Your name, email address and phone number are included only in hashed form, never as plain text. Your city, state, ZIP code and country are included as you entered them. Your street address is not sent.
  • Meta, Reddit and Crazy Egg, through their tags on the site, as described under "Cookies and measurement."

We also share information when the law requires it, to protect our customers or our business from fraud, or if the business is sold. A buyer would have to follow this policy for the information we already hold.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. This site does not change what it does when it gets one. To limit tracking, block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

  • We keep order, invoice and account records for at least seven years, for tax and warranty.
  • Google Analytics keeps visit data for up to 14 months.
  • We keep email and chat messages with the order or account they belong to.

Customers outside the United States

We are based in the United States. If you order from another country, your information is stored and handled in the United States and by the companies named above, which may keep it in other countries.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it.
  • Delete it. We will delete what we can. We have to keep order and tax records for as long as the law requires.
  • Stop sending you marketing email. The unsubscribe link in any of those emails does the same.

If you have an account, you can change your name, address and phone number yourself under My Account.

To make any of these requests, email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. Asking will not change how we treat you.

Security

Every page of this site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. No way of sending or storing data is completely safe, so we cannot promise your information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Links to other sites, such as a dealer's website or our YouTube channel, take you to sites we do not run. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
