OVERVIEW

The Swan Neck UCW Rear Wing is a great addition to your Scion FRS, Subaru BRZ, or Toyota GT86 to significantly increase rear downforce, boost confidence on track, and reduce lap times. This wing takes our classic UCW silhouette and adds enhanced efficiency when compared to bottom-mount wing formats. Designed to work with the factory trunk and handle the downforce loads, the rear wing bolts on easily and delivers improved performance for track use.

Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we optimized the airfoil for performance within the given build volume, which is derived from the V1X. Further utilizing CFD, we ensured the rear wing receives adequate airflow while installed on the car and performs well.

During the design process, we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product that features near-OEM fit and finish. All the way down to the finest details, Verus Engineering cut no corners in designing and manufacturing a wing that fits like an OEM product, with a design aesthetic that complements the natural curves of the FT86 or GT86. Along with this UCW Rear Wing, we also offer a Bottom-Mount Variant of the UCW Wing, as well as a High-Efficiency Rear Wing that balances well with the vehicle without the added scale of the UCW.

The Swan Neck UCW Rear Wing is the perfect addition to the track goer who requires a large bump in rear downforce to balance out a significant front aero package, such as our Front Splitter Kit.

UCW Wings are assembled per order and will ship within 5 business days from receipt of order unless otherwise specified.

Science:

The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically designed for the FT86 enthusiast who wants more rear-end downforce. The wing has the capability of operating and generating downforce from 0 to 15 degrees angle of attack.  This allows the wing to balance out a variety of front aerodynamic kits, such as our Front Splitter Kit As part of our Ventus 3 aerodynamic kit, the rear wing combined with the front aero kit adds a significant amount of downforce to the car to help reduce lap times and increase corner speeds.

Our CFD data and our real-world experimental data match up quite well. The wing hit all the major goals we set forth to achieve, first in our CFD simulations and then with our real-world testing. The strong correlation between CFD data and real-world testing validates both our CFD analysis approach and the wing’s performance.
