OVERVIEW
When Chevrolet set out to create the 8th generation (C8) of the Corvette, it established the benchmark for modern performance, combining the brute force of an American V8 with the poise of a modern mid-engine supercar. However, the Corvette engineers left some room for aerodynamic enhancement to lower lap times and increase driver confidence.
The WCW Rear Wing is a great addition to your Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8) to significantly increase rear downforce, boost confidence on track, and reduce lap times. Designed to work with the factory trunk, the rear wing bolts on easily and improves the performance this sports car can deliver on track. Similar to our UCW Swan Neck Rear Wing Kit, the WCW Swan Neck Wing is designed to leverage the low-pressure zone beneath the wing to pull the car downward, dramatically increasing downforce with a minimal penalty in drag. By increasing the span of the WCW Wing, we achieve a higher aspect ratio, resulting in an 8.3% increase in downforce over the UCW Rear Wing, while maintaining nominal changes in drag. This makes the WCW Wing more efficient than the UCW, shifting the aerodynamic balance over 12% rearward. Finally, the WCW not only performs, but the increased span of the wing may be seen as an improved aesthetic for wide cars such as the C8 Corvette.
Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software and wind tunnel testing during the R&D process, we optimized the airfoil's performance for the given build volume, which is derived from the V1X. Further, using CFD, we ensured the rear wing received adequate airflow while installed on the car and performed well.
During the design process, we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product with a near-OEM fit and finish. Even the uprights have been designed to mount in an area already disturbed by airflow, minimizing the drawbacks of installing functional aerodynamic parts. We engineered the wing to blend into the vehicle's profile while balancing out significant front aerodynamic systems like our Front Splitter Kit!

By increasing the span of the WCW Rear Wing, we can increase the wing element's aspect ratio, resulting in greater downforce, primarily driven by the larger planform area.
The wing offers 15 degrees of adjustment to fine-tune your performance. This allows the wing to balance out a variety of front aerodynamic kits. As part of our Ventus 3 aerodynamic kit, the rear wing and aero kit add significant downforce to the car, helping reduce lap times and increase corner speed.
The swan-neck style mounting improves the efficiency of the wing element by reducing the poor-flow areas on the bottom side of the wing, which occur with bottom-mounted wings. By improving the wing's efficiency, we were able to extract greater performance at a lower drag penalty than the bottom-mount variant.
