    OVERVIEW

The Verus Engineering Carbon Cooling Fender Vent Kit for Mk5 Toyota Supra helps reduce engine heat and fender pressure. The fender vents improve overall cooling efficiency by alleviating the high-pressure air caught by the factory fender wells. These items also add a bump in the front-end downforce, further enhancing the front-end aerodynamic efficiency of the Mk5 Supra by working the front splitter harder on the suction side.

Using scan data, we developed the Carbon Cooling Fender Vents to have an OEM-Plus fit and finish to the hood's contours.  Being a four-piece kit, we took special care to ensure the fender vents provide an exceptional fitment between the upper and lower duct assemblies. This leaves the end user with a premium product that looks and feels like it belongs on the Mk5 Supra with and without the hood open! The Verus Engineering's unique design also ensures that rocks and other debris do not make their way into the engine bay like other competitor products which do not fill the void between the fender liner and the top of the fender. The Carbon Cooling Fender Vent will be available as a standalone item or as part of our flagship aerodynamics suite for the Mk5 Toyota Supra, the Ventus-5 Package! (Coming Soon)

Through CFD and on-track data, we found the Carbon Cooling Fender Vents to work very well on the car. Check out our video explaining the development of these fender vents to learn more!

    Science:

The Verus Engineering Carbon Cooling Fender vents are specifically designed for the Mk5 Toyota Supra enthusiast who wants more cooling capacity with an added bump in front-end downforce. The Mk5 Supra inherently traps airflow inside its fender wells, causing a buildup of high pressure, which leads to front-end lift and cooling inefficiency.  The  Carbon Cooling Fender Vent alleviates front-end pressure, allowing the cooling stack to work more effectively and providing additional downforce to the front-end of the vehicle. As part of our Ventus 5 aerodynamic kit, the Carbon Cooling Fender Vents are the perfect finishing touch to our class-leading aerodynamics suite, designed to provide the end user with a significant amount of downforce to the car to help increase corner speeds and reduce lap times.

Our CFD data and real-world experimental data match up quite well. The fender vents hit all the major goals we set forth to achieve, first in our CFD simulations and then with our real-world testing. The strong correlation between CFD data and real-world testing validates both our CFD analysis approach and the fender vent’s performance.
