    OVERVIEW

The High Efficiency Wing is a great addition to your Subaru BRZ or Toyota GR86 to significantly increase rear downforce, boost confidence on track, and reduce lap times. Designed to work with the factory trunk and handle the downforce loads, the rear wing bolts on easily and delivers improved performance for track use.

Verus Engineering started the rear wing design with a clean slate approach, utilizing our own airfoil profile created using ANSYS' adjoint solver. As a result, we were able to create a wing that is highly efficient while generating significant downforce appropriate for the typical track day driver and street enthusiast. By utilizing a swan neck mounting style, we keep efficiency high by feeding the wing clean airflow, unlike typical bottom-mount rear wings.

The low drag force produced by this wing is perfect for the ZN8/ZD8 chassis due to its limited horsepower in stock form. This means corner speeds will increase without a large hit to straight-line top speed or MPG on the street.

The High Efficiency Rear Wing is the perfect addition to the track driver who requires a large bump in rear downforce to balance out a properly-sized front aero package, such as our Front Splitter Kit.

High Efficiency Wings are assembled per order and will ship within 5 business days from receipt of order unless otherwise specified.

    Science:

The Verus Engineering High Efficiency Rear Wing was specifically designed for the GR86 enthusiast who wants more rear-end downforce. The wing has the capability of operating and generating downforce from 0 to 12 degrees angle of attack.  This allows the wing to balance out a variety of front aerodynamic kits, such as our Front Splitter Kit.  As part of our Ventus 2 aerodynamic kit, the rear wing combined with the front aero add a significant amount of downforce to the car to help reduce lap times and increase corner speeds.

Our CFD data and our real-world experimental data match up quite well. The wing hit all the major goals we set forth to achieve first in our CFD simulations and then with our real-world testing. The strong correlation between CFD data and real-world testing validates both our CFD analysis approach and the wing’s performance.
