How To Enjoy Your Shelby GT350 Even More

There’s nothing like the sound, style, and performance of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. The guttural roar, raw power, advanced handling, and specialized suspension make it an iconic American muscle car. It’s without question an out-of-the-box track weapon, but Verus can make it even more impressive.

If you’re fortunate enough to drive a Shelby GT350 and want to find ways to tweak performance without spending a fortune, we have the answer.

Improve OEM With Our GT350 Performance Upgrades

A blue GT350 blasts through a sweeping corner, rear splitter loaded and rear wing generating maximum downforce.

If you never make a change to your GT350, we can’t really blame you. But if you’re looking to fine-tune it for the track, there are definitely areas of the OEM design that could be improved. Here’s how to start:

Note: All of the following components are available in our Mustang GT350 Ventus 1 kit. Save money by buying them together.

Clean Up Dirty Air With Underbody Panels And A Fender Evacuation Kit

A flatter floor means cleaner air — Verus panels deliver both.

As much as we love our shop GT350, the stock underbody leaves a little to be desired, as openings collect dirty air and reduce performance. Our underbody panels close the gaps, giving you a flatter floor and cleaner airflow to the diffuser.

You’ll want the panels and our fender evacuation kit to seal a pronounced gap in the OEM design that allows high-pressure air to enter and disrupt airflow. Our fender liner evacuates air from the wheel well, increasing downforce and reducing drag.

Direct Airflow With Turning Vanes

Close up gaps in the factory design and feed the diffuser clean air with Verus Engineering's GT350 underbody panels.

Once you have the pieces above, we highly recommend complementing your setup with our turning vanes. These simple add-ons attach to the underbody panels and create strong vortices that help the diffuser by sending it fast, low-pressure air.

Boost Diffuser Performance With Our Aftermarket Strakes

Improve underbody airflow and optimize diffuser performance with our turning vanes.

You’ll notice a theme here as we continue to focus on underbody airflow. One area we targeted is the OEM diffuser itself. Our aftermarket diffuser strakes are a nice addition, as the outer strakes help block the horseshoe-like vortices that form off the rear wheels. The inner strakes promote attached diffuser flow.

Vortex Generators Keep Flow Attached On Top

Solve the problem of detached airflow along the rear glass with GT350 vortex generators from Verus.

As your aftermarket aero specialists, we look at airflow from every angle. During our analysis, we noticed a flow detachment issue on the rear glass. Our vortex generators keep the airflow attached and improve the performance of your spoiler or rear wing.

GT350 And Verus Engineering - The Perfect American Pairing

The S550 GT350 holds a special place in the Verus garage. It’s one of the first American-made platforms we invested in and a stark contrast to the models we were known for – the MKV Supra and BRZ/FRS/Toyota 86. It marked a turning point and solidified our reputation for aftermarket excellence across diverse platforms. We continue to expand our repertoire with vehicles like the Corvette C8 and BMW M4.
