OVERVIEW

The UCW Rear Wing is a great addition to your Subaru WRX (VB), significantly increasing rear downforce, enhancing confidence on track, and reducing lap times. Designed to work with the factory trunk and handle the downforce loads, the rear wing bolts on easily and delivers improved performance for track use.

Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we optimized the airfoil for performance within the given build volume, which is derived from the V1X. Further utilizing CFD, we ensured the rear wing receives adequate airflow while installed on the car and performs well.

During the design process, we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product that features near-OEM fit and finish. All the way down to the finest details, Verus Engineering cut no corners in designing and manufacturing a wing that fits like an OEM product, with a design aesthetic that complements the natural curves of the VB WRX.

Along with this UCW Rear Wing, we also offer a Swan-Neck Variant of the UCW Wing that balances well with the WRX (VB) , with the added styling modeled after the 24 hours of Nurburgring WRX.

The UCW Rear Wing is the perfect addition to the track goer who requires a large bump in rear downforce to balance out a significant front aero package, such as our Front Splitter Kit.

UCW Wings are assembled per order and will ship within 5 business days from receipt of order unless otherwise specified.

Science:

The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically designed for the Subaru VB WRX enthusiast who wants more rear-end downforce. The wing has the capability of operating and generating downforce from 0 to 15 degrees angle of attack.   This allows the wing to balance out a variety of front aerodynamic kits, such as out Front Splitter Kit.  As part of our Ventus 3 aerodynamic kit, the rear wing and associated aero kit add a significant amount of downforce to the car to help reduce lap times and increase corner speeds.

Our CFD data and our real-world experimental data match up quite well. The wing hit all the major goals we set forth to achieve first in our CFD simulations and then with our real-world testing. The strong correlation between CFD data and real-world testing validates both our CFD analysis approach and the wing’s performance.

Is the Bottom Mount UCW for you?

We get a lot of questions regarding the key differences between the bottom Mount UCW and the Swan Neck UCW. This video sheds light on some of the key differences that you can expect to see.
