Dive Plane (Canard) Kit - Honda Civic Type R (FL5)
OVERVIEW
A set of Dive Planes, while small, can help control airflow around the vehicle and take your performance to the next level!
The Verus Engineering Dive Plane Kit for the Honda Civic Type R (FL5) is specifically designed to increase front-end downforce while keeping drag increase to a minimum. The units work together to aid in extracting airflow from the wheel well, as well as produce downforce themselves, on the front of the car.
The dive planes produce a safe aero balance with or without the addition of our Angle of Attack Adjustment Kit, though it is recommended getting both to keep a balanced setup. These units were designed in CAD using in-house scan data and optimized using CFD analysis.
These units are constructed from pre-preg, autoclave-cured, 2x2 twill carbon, with a polished, high-gloss finish. 3M VHB Mounting Tape and Precision Templates are provided to ensure an OE-Like fit.
Dive planes (also referred to as canards) allow you to shift the aero balance forward, aiding your setup in balancing out a larger rear wing, while also aiding with front grip on track. These are a great first step in aerodynamic tuning for any FL5 CTR owner!

The Dive Planes work in unison to create a beneficial vortex, which helps evacuate the fenders, which reduces lift on the body, and bumps downforce slightly at the front end of the vehicle. Additionally, Dive planes help tune the aerodynamic balance of a vehicle by shifting the balance forward without the need for a larger front splitter.
Along with the Angle of Attack (AOA) Adjustment Kit , the dive planes are part of the Ventus 1 package for the Honda Civic Type R. We developed this package to provide a safe aerodynamic balance at speed to ensure safety and improved handling at high rates of speed.
The Ventus 1 kit is geared more towards the daily-driven car, which has a negligible increase in drag but a boost in downforce. This is a great starter kit for those interested in testing out aerodynamic components!
