    OVERVIEW

The Verus Engineering Flat Underbody Panels finish what Mazda started by filling in the voids in the Miata's underbody. The middle of the vehicle creates a significant drag on automobiles and filling in these areas reduces drag.

Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to extract more performance for the given build volume; increasing downforce generated and drag reduced from the addition of these underbody panels.

During the design process; we utilized in-house scan data. This resulted in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish.

These underbody panels were designed for owners looking get the most out of their front splitter and rear diffuser.

*Does not work with automatic transmission.*

    SCIENCE

The ND Miata Flat Underbody Panel is simple in operation; it reduces the vehicle's coefficient of drag (cD) by 0.010, or 10 points by reducing turbulence in an otherwise open part of the underbody.  With rake, the car can also benefit from an increase in downforce as this flat area begins to act as a diffuser, as does the rest of the car's underbody.

Each panel features a small wicker and cut-out for exhaust and transmission heat extraction to aid in keeping temperatures reasonable on the underbody.
